2004 Story Behind The Scarf

The Cheval Surprise Hermès scarf, designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko, features a playful and whimsical design of a horse hidden within abstract shapes and patterns, inspired by the idea of unexpected surprises. The design, originally in monochrome, was reissued in 2014 as "Cheval Surprise Remix" with a vibrant, multicolor palette, where each hidden element is a different color. The scarf's design incorporates elements from Hermès' equestrian heritage, with hidden horses, riders, and even the "Petit-Duc" carriage, the brand's logo.
