Story Behind The Scarf

This remarkable collection of trophies could only belong to an athlete who lives by the classic ideal: mens sana in corpore sano—a sound mind in a sound body. There’s an effortless elegance in the composition: shimmering medals, flowing ribbons, and figures rendered with such vitality they seem to spring from the silk itself. Among the treasures are the Saut Hermès trophy, a cyclist’s medal, a gleaming Formula 1 car, a golfer mid-swing, a poised fencer—and even a lifeguard’s certificate from 1895, awarded to Émile Hermès for heroically saving three lives from the Seine.
